Rick Janski, PGA, brings more than two decades of experience and a passion for player development to his role as Director of Instruction at Centennial Park Golf Course. A PGA Member since 2003, Rick has built a reputation as a dedicated teacher who combines deep knowledge of the game with a modern, technology-driven approach to instruction.

Prior to joining Centennial Park, Rick served as the lead instructor at Glenwoodie Golf Club beginning in 2020. His professional journey has taken him through several respected facilities, including the Lakes of the Four Seasons in Crown Point, Hinsdale Golf Club, Seven Bridges Golf Club, and Hunter’s Ridge Country Club in Bonita Springs, Florida. Along the way, he has developed a well-rounded teaching philosophy shaped by diverse playing environments and student needs.

Rick’s passion for golf began early. He was a standout player at Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing, Illinois, where he qualified for the state championship. He continued his playing career at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, earning team captain honors and Most Valuable Player recognition.

An accomplished competitor, Rick has participated in numerous PGA Section events, highlighted by strong performances in 2024 with a 6th-place finish at Merit Club and a 4th-place finish at Oak Park Country Club. These experiences continue to inform his teaching, allowing him to connect with players who are looking to improve and compete at a higher level.

Rick is known for his ability to work with golfers of all skill levels, from beginners to competitive players. He utilizes advanced tools such as launch monitor technology and video analysis to provide clear, data-driven feedback and accelerate improvement. His approachable style and commitment to each student’s progress make him a valuable resource for anyone looking to elevate their game.
